Vyasa Puja Reports 2011 (21)
My Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Your Divine Grace.
The celebration of Vyasa-puja brings us spiritual bliss and realization when the disciples gather together to glorify the spiritual master deep from their heart. It also brings the disciples closer to the guru on this special occasion while sharing their love, sentiment and gratitude to their beloved guru.
This year we celebrated your Vyasa-puja in Hema Gandhavika devi dasi's house. Hema Gandhavika is the group leader of Foshan City in China, as authorized by Candrashekar Prabhu. About 30 devotees came from different cities to participate in this joyful celebration. The altar was beautifully decorated with abundant floweres showing the love of the disciples to the guru, as well as the opulence of Krsna. Krsna Prita devi dasi was the main translator in the program. In the afternoon after prasadam, she presented the DVD of your previous performances of singing and dancing with other ladies devotees along with stories of spiritual realization. The devotees enjoyed very much the performances of Your Divine Grace on the computer.
I invited Prabhava Prabhu as the chief cook who prepared a big feast to the devotees' satisfaction, with the help of Padmajay devi dasi and Lila Gopi devi dasi. I also arranged Hema Gandhavika devi dasi to offer Sri Sri Siksataka prayers to Your Divine Grace by singing in Chinese melody with the classical Chinese musical instrument, which is like the Indian musical instrument Vina. The effect was very good. The devotees were impressed and joined to sing together. I hope that more conditioned souls in the blessed land of Klashadesh would receive the mercy of Lord Gauranga through your mercy by hearing and chanting the Holy Names as well as the presentation of Sri Sri Siksataka.
At the end of the celebration, Lila Priya Caitanya devi dasi expressed her appreciation on the program which she had never experienced before in other Vyasa-puja days.
Guru Maharaja, I hope the above report will bring you satisfaction and spiritual pleasure. We all look forward to seeing you in good health in the near future.
Your spiritual daughter,
Citra Vilasini devi dasi
Respected Guru Maharaj,

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All Glories to Your Divine Grace!
We had a most ecstatic and blissful Vyasa Puja celebration here in Manipal. We had celebrated it on Saturday, the 16th of April. Many girls had come to help out with the preparations from beforehand. It had been really blissful decorating the altar with the rest of the devotees.
The celebrations started with Guruvandana. We read the meaning and discussed the importance of celebrating Vyasa Puja. We then heard a most ecstatic lecture by Your Divine Grace on the Glories of 18th Chapter of Bhagavad Gita and on importance of preaching. It was really enlivening for all.
During the glorifications the girls became quite emotional in expressing their gratitude towards YDG. Transcendental, exalted qualities like your Humor, Compassion, Dedication, Enthusiasm all were mentioned and especially how the programme in Manipal are going on only by the mercy of Your Divine Grace. Otherwise it would not have been possible for them to continue.
We offered the 14-item feast as the glorifications were going on. We do hope Your Divine Grace liked it. There was shrikhand too. (Thick this time!)
While I was saying my glorification for Your Divine Grace, I was praying really hard I would not end up crying as we were feeling intense separation from Your Divine Grace. And in between the glorification, a girl who was coming for the first time for our programmes, interrupted me and started asking philosophical questions. And as I answered I felt so blissful and happy. I was thinking this is the best way to glorify my Gurudeva, By sharing the knowledge he has imparted upon me to others. It was as if Your Divine Grace was directly guiding me to preach. From there on the mood became to make it blissful for all the girls.
Pushpanjali soon followed and then we had the arati. It was really ecstatic. There had been 32 of us in the small apartment where I stay and we all danced and jumped. In accordance to the lecture Your Divine Grace had just given. Unfortunately no one thought of taking pictures as we were all too happily engaged in kirtan.
We then honoured the prasadam. The girls really enjoyed themselves.
Praying for your blessings to be always engaged in devotional service at yout Lotus Feet. and for the congregation in Manipal to expand and advance.
Your most insignificant and worthless servant,
Bhakti Priya Radhika DD
It was a euphoric evening for all the devotees in Sri Sri Radha Gopinath North Sydney temple- as we celebrated 62nd Vyasa puja of our beloved Spiritual Master- His Holiness Jayapataka Swami. Sirvas Nitai Gaura Das took charge this year for the overall co-ordination of the celebrations. We had dedicated teams looking after key areas like decoration, cooking, kirtan and cleaning.
Although, devotees started preparing weeks prior to the day, but on 15th April, everything reached to zenith. Besides being a working day, a good number of devotees turned up to assist with the preparations. It was a great sight to see energetic blend of other ISKCON Maharaj's disciples working unstintingly alongside His Holiness's Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaj's disciples to make this day a grand success.
Their Lordship's temple room was beautifully decorated by the decoration team comprised of Srivas Nitai Gaura Das, Vrindavana Palini DD, Aradhya Radha DD, Bhaktin Kavita, Bhaktin Prerna, Bhaktin Damini, KarunaMoyi Das, Venkat Madhava Das and Yutheshvari Radha DD. A big picture of Srila Gurudev was gracefully placed amidst a skillfully crafted lotus flower. It was magnificently decorated with garlands made of Marigold flowers and Pink Carnations. The decorations and lighting were making it a perfect festive ambience. Guru Maharaj's Altar was well lit with fairly lights and tea light candles making it brilliantly effulgent. Big balloons of lotus pink color along with white and blue color filled the remaining space adding to the zest of a majestic birthday party.
The ceremony started with synchronized chanting of the holy names by the devotees along with the priests chanting the Maha Mantra. Yutheshvari Radha DD who was MC for the program invited all the eminent guests and devotees to the ceremony which formally began by His Holiness's Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaj's 2011 Vyaas Puja message via internet for all his disciples.
Soon after the Sandhya Aarti, one of Srila Prabhupada's disciple HG AtmaRam Prabhu, other senior leaders including HG VaraNayaka Prabhu, HG Sri Prahlad Prabhu and a special guest from India HG Mahaprabhu Prabhu glorified Srila Gurudev by sharing their wonderful pastimes with Him. Amongst Srila Gurudev's senior disciples, HG Vijay Gopikesh Das, HG Kalavati mataji and others offered their prayers unto the lotus feet of Srila Gurudev.
With electrifying Kirtan resonating in the temple room, devotees immersed themselves in the chanting of the Holy name and offering pushpanjali unto the lotus feet of Srila Gurudev. This was later followed by ecstatic Guru Puja. Everyone was completely besotted by picturesque visuals of the temple room which was overflowing with devotees up to the extent that there was no room to even accommodate a needle!
Last phase of the celebrations was the highlight- Ekadasi Feast, diligently prepared by HG Jitendriya Gaura Hari Das along with Bhakta Harsh, Tarini Kalindi Devi Dasi, Bhakta Tejas and cake by Subhadra Radha DD. There were 103 meticulously prepared small offerings not only by His Holiness's Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaj's disciples but other devotees across Sydney yatra. Members of GSS team assisted in the Feast preparation and serving. All the devotees in the yatra came forward to make this day a splendid success. As a token of appreciation, Thank you gifts in the form of Srila Gurudev's DVDs of various lectures were distributed to all those who attended the celebrations.
By 10.30pm, most of the devotees left the temple and the onus was on to the cleaning team to bring the temple back to its original form. A lot of devotees comprising of Bhakta Subhash, Bhaktin Charu, Bhakta Arvind and Bhaktin Nitika along with their young children stayed till midnight and helped in cleaning the temple room. In the kitchen, Bhakta Rajan, Bhakta Asseem, Vrajanath Krsna Das and Venkat Madhava Das rolled their sleeves up to clean the gigantic pots whereas, senior devotees like Vijay Gopikesh Das mopped the floor and SharanMukhi DD assisted in clearing temple room. Overall, it was quiet a humbling experience to see all the devotees in the congregation joining hands to make Srila Gurudev's Vyaas puja a memorable event for all.
On 17th April, Sunday grain feast was once again sponsored by HG Vrajanath Krsna Das for the pleasure of the devotee community as an offering to Guru Maharaj.
Yours in service always,
On behalf of ISKCON Sydney JPSSS reported by Yutheshvari Radha Devi Dasi.
Please accept my most humble obeisances in the dust of Your Lotus feet.
All glories to You and to Your most wonderful service to Srila Prabhupada!

Sri sri LakshmiNrsingadev Bhagavan ki jai!
We started the auspicious day with sincere prayers at the lotus feet of Sri Sri LakshmiNrsingadev for a glorious year ahead to Gurumaharaj with improved health and all round protection.
The Vyasa pooja function was celebrated in our regular namahatta hall at Holy Tree Sri Balasubramanyar swamy temple, Yishun, where our regular Friday Bhagavatam satsang and all mahotsavs are held with the gorgeous presence of Sri Hanuman assuring us all protection….
This year being Thursday- Guru’sday- many of our satsang devotees took holiday for a holyday. Right from the morning devotees were busy in preparation with enthusiasm on the already planned sevas.
With another special design concept for the background flowers and auspicious coconut leaves were bought and garlands were made. Keeping our Gurumaharaj at the centre, this time Guru maharaja was garlanded with the special green garland with bright orange flowers shining at regular intervals, Guru maharaj in the Vyasasan was looking with refreshed health. White jasmine tied flowers were on both sides with the blue background made the environment very pure and blissful.
Majority of the devotees were on time with with their share of ekadasi bhogas totaling more than 108 prepared with guru bhakthi as their sincere offering. At the auspicious time the vibrant sound of mrdanga and karatal finely mixed harinam started to fill everyones heart. While an illuminating arati was performed devotees held ‘samsara dava..’ on their lips and gurudev in their heart.
Then the God brothers, god sisters and well wishers offered their vyasa pooja offering with sincere prayers to the lotus feet of srisri Sudharshana Nrsingadev for Guru maharaj’s quick and complete recovery.
We thanked everyone including the temple authorities for their continued support in this challenging place of Simhadesh and prayed to the Lord for the satsang to work together as a united family as per the guidelines of Guru, Sadhu and Sastra with all Sincerity and Humility.
We made our ardent prayers, to glorify many more Vyasa poojas and concluded with a special Vyasa pooja ekadasi mahaprasad…
His Holiness Jayapataaka Swami Maharaj Vyasa Pooja maha mahotsav ki jai!
Haladhara Priya Das.
Sri Nrsingadev Namahatta, Simhadesh (S’pore)
